Dr Somyata Somendra Sharma is an accomplished interventional cardiologist. She holds an MBBS degree from the prestigious S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur, where she received 9 Gold Medals and achieved distinction in 10 core courses. Furthermore, she has a DM degree in Cardiology from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, where she achieved All India Rank 1 in the PGIMER DM/MCh Entrance Exam (2021) and DM Cardiology Exit Exam (2024). She even holds an MRCP (UK) degree with first-attempt successes in all the parts that constitute the exam. She has been an elected member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (London, Glasgow, and Edinburgh) since 2023. Keen on keeping abreast with the latest technological breakthroughs, she has often participated in international workshops and conferences. Subsequently, she did a clinical observership at the National Heart Centre Singapore (2025). Moreover, she has a certificate degree and training from the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, Hong Kong (APSC TCIP 2024, 2025) in Coronary Imaging and Physiology.  

She has extensive experience in complex coronary and structural heart disease interventions and Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (pacemaker) implantation. 

Passionate about research, she has been actively involved in several academic projects with her work published in reputable journals like the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), Journal of Invasive Cardiology, Indian Heart Journal, and many more. She has presented cases and been invited as faculty in various national and international conferences like EuroPCR, Paris (2025), Singapore LIVE, Singapore (2024 & 2025), and many more.
